Appeal for People to Complete a Housing Needs Survey for Trearddur Bay

Grŵp Cynefin is appealing for people to complete a survey to help establish the housing needs in the Trearddur Bay area, Anglesey. 

The current housing crisis means house prices are out of reach for many. As a result, many people are being forced to leave the areas where they were brought up, even though they want to live there and raise their own families. This threatens the future of communities like Trearddur Bay. But Grŵp Cynefin is determined to make a difference. 

A strong response to the new survey could be the foundation for change. At present, Grŵp Cynefin, which owns over 5,000 properties across six counties in north Wales and north Powys, is conducting a housing needs survey in Trearddur Bay area and the surrounding villages. 

They need to understand what type of homes people need in the area, whether to rent or to buy. This important information will provide the basis for planning a development that truly reflects the needs of the community. 

This is part of Grŵp Cynefin’s wider mission to maintain vibrant and sustainable communities and ensure that local people can continue to live in their rural communities. 

Why is this so important in the Trearddur Bay area? 

• High house prices and second homes make it difficult for local people to buy or rent homes in their area. 

• Losing local people means losing schools, services, and community life.
