Major contract to deliver retrofit programme across north Wales open to bids 

Grŵp Cynefin and North Wales Housing housing associations are looking to appoint a principal contractor to deliver an £8.5m retrofit programme of works to social housing across north Wales.
The initial length of the contract is 12 months with an option to extend to a further 24 months.
The successful contractor will deliver retrofit measures across the region, working with Grŵp Cynefin and North Wales Housing  to reduce the carbon footprint of their  homes, as well as helping to  tackle the cost of living crisis by reducing energy consumption.
The programme is partly funded through the Welsh Government’s Optimised Retrofit Programme.
The work must be delivered in line with PAS 2035 and 2030 standards, and will include the installation of systems such as efficient electric heating systems, solar panels and insulation.
Ceri Davies, Innovation and Growth Programme Leader, Grŵp Cynefin said:
“We’re looking for a principal contractor to works with us and North Wales Housing to deliver one of our priorities as housing associations – adapting our housing stock to be low carbon, energy efficient homes, better for our tenants and better for the environment.
