He succeeds Carys Edwards, who came to the end of her three-year term as Chair last week.

Tim’s appointment was confirmed at the company’s AGM last week. A Welsh speaker, who lives in Llanbedr DC, Ruthin, he is currently serving as Chair of Grŵp Cynefin’s subsidiary company, Canllaw’s Board of Management.

Mel Evans, Interim Chief Executive of Grŵp Cynefin, says: “I’d like to thank Carys Edwards who has now come to the end of her term as Chair and Board Member, for her years of service to Grŵp Cynefin.

“Tim is an excellent appointment for the group. His experience and vision will help drive us forward with energy and positivity.”

Tim added: “I’m very proud to be confirmed as the new Chair. My association with the organisation goes back several years and I know its values and the massive contribution it has made to the community. The priority for me is to make sure Grŵp Cynefin is supported by a strong and robust Board of Management, so that it continues to provide excellent services for its tenants and customers.

“I want to make sure too that it continues to be great employer, supporting and developing its staff and attracting new talent.

“This a period of transition for Grŵp Cynefin and I look forward to leading the Board as we head towards our ten-year milestone next year. I have great faith in the team here and strongly believe that we will achieve great things.”
