Grŵp Cynefin calls on working tenants to access new qualifications Friday 12 July 2019
Grŵp Cynefin is calling on working tenants keen to gain new qualifications in order to develop their careers, to get in touch.
Two members of staff - an energy officer and an administrator at Grŵp Cynefin have paved the way in this working initiative, where staff are given the opportunity to gain National Vocational Qualifications, NVQs, or as they are now called, Qualification and Credit Frame, QCF accreditation.
Ieuan Davies, Employment and Training Officer at Grŵp Cynefin said: “The initiative has proved very successful with our staff members who have recently completed a Level 2 and Level 3 NVQ qualification in Business and Administration.
“Working with Arfon Dwyfor Training, the Level 2, 3 and 4 NVQs through Grŵp Cynefin are all available free of charge, to those who want to learn.
“The seven members of staff currently working towards their qualifications are carrying out the majority of their tasks during their working days.
These qualifications are gained through employment based training and support, making the development a fundamental part of their day to day roles.
Ieuan Davies who works in partnership with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and Arfon Dwyfor Training to deliver courses said: “We are keen to open the door to working tenants because the qualifications have been so well received from the staff members who have been working towards them.
“If any Grŵp Cynefin tenants who are in employment are keen to develop their qualification opportunities, then please get in touch with myself Ieuan.Davies@grwpcynefin.org or call 0300 111 2122 and ask for me, Ieuan Davies, Employment and Training Officer.
“NVQ modules include customer care, business administration, management, team leader, advice or leadership. Those interested would be assessed at the outset to determine which level NVQ would be most suited to their abilities.”
Tenants or staff keen to study the Level 4 NVQ need to have a degree or a qualification on a par to degree level to begin the Level 4 NVQ training. The delivery teams can support and administrate the training across Grŵp Cynefin’s working area - north Wales and north Powys
