Work has begun to develop much needed homes in an Anglesey community during recent weeks.
14 new homes will be built in the village of Cemaes, Anglesey during the next twelve months as part of Grŵp Cynefin’s drive to support local communities looking for a variety of different homes on the site.
The homes at Ffordd y Felin, Cemaes are being developed by a local Anglesey company, D U Construction Ltd, based at Parc Penrhos, Holyhead, ensuring a welcome boost to the local economy.
Working in partnership with Anglesey County Council, Grŵp Cynefin will develop:
- 4 (two bedroom) bungalows
- 6 (two bedroom) houses
- 4 (three bedroom) houses
Gwyndaf Williams, Development Manager at Grŵp Cynefin said: “This is a major development for a small village like Cemaes and we’re pleased to get started on site. We’ve worked closely with the local authority to recognise the housing needs of the area, worked with the planners to design a site that suits the locality and are now developing a mix of homes that will assist in bridging the need for more quality homes in some of north Wales’ rural communities.”
The new homes will be in addition to Grŵp Cynefin’s 4,550 houses included within the association’s property portfolio. Working across north Wales and north Powys, Grŵp Cynefin strives to provide high-quality affordable homes that meet local community needs.
Further updates regarding the Anglesey site will be shared, as the work progresses.
