Families settle in at Bron Gwynedd, Bethel Wednesday 3 July 2019
Four families have proudly settled into their new Grŵp Cynefin homes in Bethel, near Caernarfon, Gwynedd over the last few weeks.
Thanks to collaboration between Bethel Community Council, Gwynedd Council and Grŵp Cynefin, four 3 bedroom houses were developed on exempt land in Bron Gwynedd, Bethel, in order to assist local residents to ensure quality and comfortable homes in the area.
The work was part of Gwynedd Council’s development programme with the support of the Welsh Government’s social housing grant.
Developing the site was driven by a family building firm from Caernarfon, S.J. Burgess, and we fully appreciate their support on the project.
Pictured is one of the families who has moved to their new property in Bron Gwynedd: Llio Lois Herbert holding the key to her new home, with her mother Nicole Herbert in the background carrying her sibling, Theo Fensome, in her arms.
Pictured with the family are Gwyndaf Williams, Grŵp Cynefin Development Manager and our Chief Executive, Shan Lloyd Williams. Arwel Owen, Gwynedd Council’s Senior Housing Officer and Iola Morgan, Grŵp Cynefin Senior Housing Manager are stood to the right of Nicole Herbert.
Shan Lloyd Williams, Chief Executive of the housing association said: “Small developments like this, in a rural village make a big difference. It was great to come along to meet Nicol Herbert with the officers in order to see the difference a new house like this has on family life. Thanks to everyone who has worked with us on this development, and as always, our gratitude goes to our dedicated team of staff here at Grŵp Cynefin for their work.”
