Community Development Grant

This is a grant scheme up to £500 available for groups working within Grŵp Cynefin’s operational area (six counties of North Wales and north Powys). It is available to voluntary and community groups or to a group of residents who would like to get together to make a difference within their community. It is not essential that the group has a constitution.

  • Improving the area the group lives in
  • Organise an event to get the community together
  • Getting young people involved
  • Play and recreation opportunities for children and young people
  • Involving the whole community
  • Improving the environment
  • Making people feel safer and more secure
  • Creating spaces for wildlife
  • Improving the wellbeing of the community by encouraging active and healthy life styles
  • Involving people of all ages and abilities in the community

The Grants Panel meets 4 times a year and applications should be submitted by the middle of July; September; December; and March. You will be told if you are successful or not within 2 weeks following the Grants Panel’s meeting. A group cannot make more than one application in a financial year.
