The annual report shows the progress made over the year, towards achieving our strategic aims and objectives.
Grŵp Cynefin’s Corporate Plan 2019-24
The corporate plan explains the type of organisation we want to be, and has set priorities for implementation over a period of 5 years. You can download a copy of Grŵp Cynefin’s summary of the Corporate Plan 2019-24 here
These priorities are called ‘strategic aims’, and Grŵp Cynefin’s strategic aims include:
1. Quality Homes: We shall provide high-quality affordable homes that meet local needs
2. Excellent Services: We shall provide excellent customer service consistently across the group
3. Improve Lives: We shall provide help and opportunities for people
4. Sustain Communities: We shall engage with local communities and we shall be a catalyst for positive change

Regulatory Judgement
Grŵp Cynefin is a Registered Social Landlord, and this means that we are regulated by the Welsh Government Regulatory Team.
The Welsh Government has issued guidance that sets out the objectives that each Housing Association is expected to provide, which relates to housing services, governance and financial management.
Every year, as part of the Regulatory process, Grŵp Cynefin conducts a self-evaluation of our activities to show how we meet the relevant guidelines. This self-evaluation is then shared with the Welsh Government’s Housing Regulation Team, who challenges the content and looks back over the year on our achievements. The results forms a report published by the Welsh Government.
Welsh Government is in the process of reviewing it’s Regulatory Framework , and are issuing interim regulatory judgements in the meantime. Here is Grŵp Cynefin’s interim judgement, which was published on Wednesday, 2nd December 2020

Self Evaluation of Our Services
As part of our annual Business Planning process, we conduct a self-evaluation of all our services, which means taking an honest look on what we have achieved. The process includes looking closely on our performance, identifying achievements and what we did well, as well as what needs to be improved. You can read our latest self evaluation report here.
Housing Association Performance Comparison Tool
Grŵp Cynefin is a registered social landlord registered in Wales, or often called ‘Housing Association’. The Welsh Government has recently reviewed the regulatory arrangements and has created a tool to enable tenants, service users, stakeholders and partners to access performance data.
Grŵp Cynefin’s performance can be seen against several performance headings, such as financial performance, tenant satisfaction and property conditions, and this data can be seen for all other housing associations in Wales to compare. The performance
data is up to the end of March 2018.
